Learn It Online

On-line Learning is as easy as One! Two! Click!

TSS is proud to announce a new training opportunity.  For the first time we will be offering individuals the option to learn courses via the internet.

Traditionally, we've offered these courses in a lab setting, with an instructor leading the students through the material. While effective for teaching, it can be expensive and difficult for the students to attend all the sessions.

In response to that we have implemented a partnership with a supplier of on-line education tools, including self-study and instructor-facilitated courses. These offer the advantage of allowing the students to go through the material with flexible scheduling and considerably reducing the cost of the training.

What is the difference between an online self-study course and an instructor-facilitated course?

A self-study course is a course that's taken at your own convenience and at your own pace.  Self-study courses are interactive and engaging learning modules that incorporate lessons, examples, activities and quizzes.  Each lesson has assessment questions that can be used to determine your training needs or validate new knowledge and skills.  Self-study courses can be started at any time and are available for a 12-week period.

In online instructor-facilitated courses, instructors provide lessons and assignments, monitor class activity and assist students for the duration of the class.  This format encourages student-to-instructor interaction and student-to-student interaction utilizing online message boards.  Instructor-facilitated courses also include the equivalent self-study course and the online reference material, so you will have everything you need at your fingertips.  The online instructor-facilitated portion of the course varies by the course type, but access is given to all materials for 12 weeks.

What kind of courses are offered?

The courses offered will cover a wide area of study in both the self-paced and instructor-facilitated formats.  The following is a list of some of the courses that are offered and what you can be expected to pay.
